Our Handmade Soaps vs Others
Handmade soap is wonderful for your skin because it contains the natural glycerin which occurs during the soapmaking process. Many commercial "soaps" have their glycerin extracted and sold to other industries. This is why your skin feels dry and itchy after you use them. The glycerin in handmade soap leaves your skin silky soft. Please note that Soap Silly's Handmade Soaps are made using the cold process method. They are not made from melt and pour soap bases sold in craft stores. Our soaps contain pure natural ingredients and are made right here in our shop. Our products are scented with high quality essential and fragrance oils. All of our products are made from scratch by us. We do not use bases for any of our products. We want only the best for our customers and ensure you the freshest products. LYE? Why do we use lye to make our soap? If we didn't, we would just have a puddle of oils, yuck. Lye is an alkali. When lye and fatty acids (oils) are combined, they go through a process known as saponification. In the final product, there is no lye. We invite you to try our handmade soaps for yourself to feel the difference! Storing your new Soap Silly products All products: To avoid contamination of bacteria, use a clean utensil to scoop out your needed amount. If you do not use your products more than 2-3 times a week, we recommend storing your products in the refrigerator between use. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place in between uses. Dispose of your product after the recommended use time. Please Note: Body butters, lip balms, simply salve and lotion bars can melt in warmer temps. If your product melts, simply (stir body butters) place in refrigerator. The effectiveness of the products will not be altered.
